The corps is looking especially for Vietnam veterans who would like to become teachers but Lack the educational  directors have found that underprivileged children in Cit schools need men As teachers. Teachers Are needed at All level but mostly in elementary grades. Former servicemen have demonstrated in the Pilot projects around Philadelphia that the know How to fill leadership roles in the classroom and positions of authority in the Community project director s  Veteran who has a High school diploma or its equivalent will be put to work in a Public school under a program called veterans in Public service vips. Applicants for the corps must have completed at least two years of College whereas vips need Only a High school Educa Tion. No teaching experience or education credits Are needed. If accepted a vips will be enrolled in a two year work study pro Gram of academic classes class room apprenticeship and other services. The two year under graduate curriculum will be a combination of regular course sin general education or Liberal arts plus specific courses that the Serviceman wants.
