Hruska a neb lined up with Southern opponents to defeat the Douglas Bill but sup ported the move to extend the civil rights  subcommittee members Sens. Alexander Wiley a wis and Joseph c. O Mahoney d Wyo were absent. Wiley is out of town and o Mahoney is ill. Calls another meeting chairman Thomas c. Hennings Louisiana suit attacks Legal status of unit Shreveport. La. Up Louisiana attorney general Jack Gremillion has filed suit in fed eral District court asking that the Law setting up the civil right commission be declared unconstitutional. Suit was filed in the name of 17registrars of Caddo Parish la., and asked an injunction to halt a scheduled july 15 commission hearing in Shreveport on alleged voter discrimination against negroes. The suit alleged that the Law establishing the commission was unconstitutional because it denies the registrars equal Protection of the Laws denies them of the right Tobe informed of the nature and cause of accusation against them and denies them the right to be confronted with witnesses in their  commission scheduled the july 15 hearing after receiving 68complaints from 17 North Louisiana parishes. Registrars from each Parish were subpoenaed to appear.
