Aided by donations from his ship s Crew of 18 officers and 275 men current plans Call for the establishment of several workshops Complete with equipment to help the boys become self sufficient. A carpentry and an electrical shop Are two of the projects being undertaken. Spe size tables and benches will have to be constructed for the boys to work at and learn their trades. Initial instruction will be by the american sailors but when they go to sea on operations this training will be taken Over by local italian instructors hired from the funds donated by the ship.
