I be been drawing and paint ing Ever since i could pick up a Pencil Grant said but i did really come into my own until the age of 14 when i discovered sculpture. I became fascinated with the idea of creating some thing meaningful from an inanimate object. When i was 14, rummaged around in the garage found some 2-by-4s, wire string and glue and patched together a crude piece of sculpture. I go very excited about it. Everyone else laughed a lot at it but that did t bother me i was hooked on  in Pursuit of his new interest Grant took Art courses in High school and devoted most of his spare time1 to sculpting. He soon won three Gold keys for his Workin a National Scholastic Maga Zine Art exhibition locally and won honorable mention in the National Scholastic Magazin Eart exhibition. Grant also attended the University of Oregon Asa sculpture major. Later Grant s desire to sculpted him through a multitude of jobs some of them pretty bad before he could afford to establish a Small Art gallery Olheis own in Portland Oregon. I worked in a Wax museum for awhile cutting up mannequins and putting them Back together again. It was t a very demand ing Job. I did a lot of Wood an Marble cutting and made stained Glass windows for othe sculptors.
