Although the Wea Pon has t been ruled out of the Case Eggert said the Blade does not match the size of the wounds. And we Haven other possible murder Why did t the dog bark Eggert discounted earlier reports that the killer knew the Percy family Well enough to be Friendly with i Foo its Labrador retriever. How can you Tell if the do always barks it probably just was t that Good of a watch dog he said. The mystery Glove a Wool love found in a Gully about 30 feet from the Home is still in the picture according to Eggert. He said the crime lab reported that Wool strand found on the death bed and the Cut screen were similar to the Glove s material although a definite conclusion could not be a match for the Glove has not been found. The crime lab lists both the Glove an Blue markings found on the door screen possibly from a chisel or knife used to break in As foreign to the Palm prints Eggert said As a re sult of massive Palm printing and Fin Bayonet Lead proved false. Up thursday october 19, 1967 the stars and stripes Ger printing All the fingerprints have been ruled out of the he said four Palm prints have not Bee ruled out and May be their main Lead. I d like to find the person who left those prints he said. Motive technically it s a break in. After this we be come no closer to a motive Eggert said. Motives therefore Are a matter of conjecture. Or. Vladimor g. Urse a chicag psychiatrist said the murder could have been secondary. He said since the assailant was apparently a professional House breaker the murder was pos Sibly accidental because of Robert m. Daley former Kenilworth police chief believed the murder was not secondary since nothing in the Percy House was missing. All indications Are that the intruder entered the Home to harm a member of the family he said. A third possible motive sex has also been considered in the investigation. Mrs. Percy told detectives that Valerie s Nightgown had been pulled up to her shoulders. Mrs. Percy said she pulled the Nightgown Down to knee length Drew a Sheet Over Valerie s lower body and wiped some blood from Valerie s face before detectives Andrew j. Toman had reported that Valerie was not sexually molested. With clues dwindling and motive being bounced around a dedicated team still works to solve Kenilworth s Only murder. But will the mystery killer of the attractive Percy twin Ever be caught we Hope to solve the murder said Eggert. We re working every Angle we can but there Aren t Many Breaks. It shard to say if we re getting close but we re not giving up. As Long As Lead prevail Well keep Page 11
