The site is being prepared and the first Spade of Earth will be turned in 1971, in the heart of Central Florida. If you were one of the 20,000 people selected to live and work in Epcot you would leave the inner City fro the underground transportation lobby via the people mover which emerges to travel above the downtown streets. Perhaps the most exciting phase of the fourth sphere is that the Homes themselves will be living  order to depict american Home life 25 or 30 years in the future major industries will be invited to install an demonstrate new appliances and technologies for the Comfort and convenience of future Domestic life. With Industry s cooperation living i Epcot could prove Ideal technologically. But the human Side of life thereon t be without hang . One major difficulty seems to be the idea of building a Brand new shiny City without first caring for the Many prob lems of established cities. As dramatized by this year s summer riots prob lems of the cities include slums unemployment inadequate education and Pov erty not to mention outdated transportation air and water  to solve such problems even before the riots government and civil Ian experts were fond of discussing vast outpouring of Federal and local funds to Aid cities in trouble. But How will the entire comple work out financially there is of course a major Prece Dent for the likelihood of its Success Disneyland.
