The bands sponsored by various Ameri can youth activities groups in Germany and Belgium were on hand at the invitation of the Robinson Barracks Aya and were after Cash prizes and a gig later at the Berlin Volk fest. Five judges listened perhaps twitched would be More accurate and finally vibrated in the direction of the unaccounted for from Kaiserslautern. But the real judges were the teen agers who showed up in up to Date attire and Matching Joy. One Sweet Young thing appeared in a Bright Orange mini dress trimmed with strategically located Black stripes and numbers claiming a modest 36-22-36 Down or up the left Side. Onlookers were divided As to whether the figures were in the metric or English system. For any visiting Barbers the gathering was distinctly depressing As the boys whipped shoulder length locks while roiling with the beat. Some came with curls some with straight combed hair and some with Well it just was t quite Clear. Dress included Nehru jackets flaring Sun glasses worn either Over the eyes clearly conservative or on the top of the head casual and the old favorite jeans. For the foot sandals were in open evidence followed by sneakers and for the really Down to Earth Bare Fettet. It was a frantic frenetic time for the dancing set with the guitars pounding away with rarely a dropped beat.
