Christenson Heads the Darmstadt Aya s american red Cross swimming program which includes instruction for beginners age 7 and up intermediates and swimmers plus lifesaving. I taught red Cross swimming for 12 years in the states she noted. Every year i think i la retire but there Are so Many kids clamouring to least i just can t. It s wonderful that dependent children in Europe have the same Chance to take the red Cross classes that they do Back  besides mrs. Christenson two airmen sgt. Richard Snyder and sgt. Paul Holloway and a dependent coed Nadine Shean work with the children helping them earn their certificates for each phase of the program. To pass each course the kids must take both a written and a swimming test. To earn the lifesaving title they must be expert enough to Rescue another swimmer in distress. All children should know How to swim believes mrs. Christenson and with the red Cross classes available there is no reason Why they can t.
