At a ceremony at the 181-year-old Square the heir to the British throne dug a Spade Ful of Earth to Plant a ceremonial London plane tree then Shook hands kissed and chatted with individuals As he wound his Way to his motorcade. She told each department that the Epa has discussed the noncompliance of these installations with your facility personnel yet these installations continue to be in Vio she noted the july 1, 1977, deadline for compliance with the Federal water pollution control act has now passed. In Addi Tion the clean air act was recently amended to require immediate compliance unless a specific exemption is granted she said. Epa will use All Means at its disposal including the possibility of judicial action to secure prompt compliance from Federal facilities she said. The assistant administrator noted that the office of management and budget is totally supportive of this she said Federal agencies involved should request the necessary clean up funds in their budget requests.
