The defending Csc and Safe Champi on Barons Are Home against the Span Dah Lem sheiks saturday while the tigers invade Wei Bricken on sunday. Other sat urday games find Ramstein invading Hahn and Rhein main entertaining Wiesbaden. All games Are scheduled for 2 . We expect a very Tough game against Span Dahlem Raetz said Friday. Span Dahlem has a very Good defense with some outstanding players and the team is Well coached. Of course they re our natural rivals and that adds a Little fuel to the fire. I thought the key to our win last week was the great defensive play late in the first half. If we had t stopped Ramstein then it could have been an entirely differ ent game. The offence came to life in the second half but we still have to do some thing about our punting. That was pretty bad last week two blocked punts and a bad snap from Center got us in deep trouble. I Don t think we can make those kind of mis takes against Span Dahlem Raetz add. Raetz said that quarterback Michael Stovall and hard running Back Kevin Mcmillin had been injured against Ramstein last week and were on the doubtful list this week. However Bill Taylor came off the Bench and turned in a Fine performance against the rams taking Over the league Rushing Lead with an average of 8.1 Yards a carry. Teammate Bill Mouton ranks second with a 5.9 average and both Are ready to go. And so is quarterback Jerry Mcmiller the statistics team offence g Pitburg 2 Sembach Rhein main 2 Wiesbaden Wei Brill Ken 2 Hahn 2 Span Dahlem 2 Ramstein defense Pitburg 2 Sembach Ramstein 2 Span Dahlem 2 Wiesbaden Rhein main 2 Hahn 2 we Brucken 2 Rush pass yes avg 470 392 862 431.0 457 161 220 173 205 205 137 -12 145 173 131 100 90 80 618 309.0 365 182.5 346 173.0 336 168.0 305 152.5 227 113.5 68 34.0 70 53 123 61.5 63 96 159 79.5 112 207 319 159.5 277 100 377 188.5 259 130 389 194.5 285 167 452 226.0 337 196 533 266.5 429 220 649 324.5 individual Rushing 10 attempts or More Tab yes avg Taylor Pitburg 15 122 8.1 Mouton Pitburg 24 142 5.9 Dennis Wiesbaden 13 63 5.1 Rudolph Wiesbaden 28 124 4.4 Bishop Span Dahlem 0 86 4.3 Paul Sembach 29 103 4.0 Gillespie Sembach 35 105 3.5 Murphy Rhein main 6 115 3.2 Owens Ramstein 13 41 3.1 Trigg Hahn 42 126 3.0 Harris Rhein main 24 71 3.0 passing 10 passes or More a pc yes pet to 13 259 47.0 2 113 42.0 84 31.0 80 30.0 121 28.5 Mcmiller Pitburg 27 Simons Sembach 1 Tellis Span Dahlem 23 Harris Ramstein 40 Cole Rhein main 28 Stovall Pitburg 3 pass receiving 4 catches or More 143 26.0 pc yes avg to la Candy Wiesbaden 4 112 28.0 1 59 Mclennon Pitburg 6 117 19.5 1 36 Neal Span Dahlem 4 75 18.0 0 30 Martin Pitburg 4 65 16.3 0 35 Abney Pitburg 6 94 15.7 0 33 Rake Hahn 4 48 12.0 0 18 Lanciault Sembach 5 59 11.0 1 16 Mccoy Ramstein 5 49 9.8 0 23 punting 5 punts or More Brown Ramstein 2 Rudolph Wiesbaden 2 Harrison Span Dahlem 2 Faircloth Sembach 2 Legge we Brucken Tornow Hahn 2 Jackson Rhein main 2 nop yes 6 243 13 13 7 11 15 13 485 435 216 297 390 327 avg up 40.5 41 37.3 50 33.0 53 31.0 40 27.0 52 26.0 40 25.1 35 league s leading passer with 13 completions Good for 259 Yards and two ads Pitburg leads the league in both team of sense and team defense. The Barons have been averaging 431 Yards on offence while giving up Only 62.5 and that s what Spang Dahlem will have to face. We re healthy and in High spirits Span Dahlem coach Walter Hunter reported. We expect this game to be a Knock Down ragout Battle. Our defense has been Good both weeks and last week we Gener ated some offence. We be been working on some new offensive patterns and we feel we will continue to improve. This is the first time i be been involved in the Eifel Mountain rivalry As a coach but like i said we re healthy and we be got plenty of spirit and desire. I know bit Burg s very Good and we re expecting it to be a great game Hunter added. Spang s leading rusher has been John Bishop who is averaging 4.3 Yards a carry. The sheiks own a capable passer in Greg Tellis and the third Best receiver in the Csc in Steve Neal. Parker has scouted Wei Blicken personally once and last week he had some of his aides watch the warriors. Everyone was impressed with the improved play of the warriors and Parker is predicting a rugged scrap. We be seen Wei Bricken play and we be been truly impressed with their Tough defense Parker said. We be had two Tough games and quite a few of my players Are hurting so we re expecting an other very Tough game against Zweig Rick in. But then again every game is a Tough one in this league and that s the Way a Good league should Sembach ranks right behind Pitburg on offence and defense in the team statistics. The tigers have been averaging 309 Yards in total offence and they have yielded Only 79.5 per game in their wins Over Wiesbaden and Rhein main. Renald Paul and Adrian Gillespie have been the most consistent ground gainers and Parker has a Fine passer in Duayne Simons. Sembach will definitely be our Tough est game so far and Well be missing some key players because of injuries Wei Brucken Mentor tiny Owens said. They have three quarterbacks who can throw the Ball and they have a couple of big run Ning backs so you can see that our defense will get its toughest test of the year. I feel our offence has been improving and i think Well move the Ball a Little better than we have been. I m looking for a really Good Ball game Owens added. Nil Colts sign Morrison Kunz out for season Baltimore a the Baltimore Colts of the National football league announced thursday they signed offensive tackle Don Morrison and placed offensive tackle George Kunz on the injured Reserve list. Meanwhile recently retired linebacker Tom Macleod has responded to a distress Call from his former team. I m coming Back said the 27-year-old Macleod. When he does and signs we will apply for his reinstatement and it is expected Well get it Accorsi said. Macleod retired before the Colts pre season training Camp opened in july. The Colt line backing situation took a desperate turn when defensive signal caller Stan White injured his knee in monday s game with Dallas. Doctors predict White will be sidelined for at least three weeks. No terms of Morrison s contract were disclosed. The 6-foot-5, 250-Pounder is a seven year Veteran who was recently Cut by the new Orleans saints. The saints drafted him in 1971 on the fourth round. A spokesman for the Colts said Kunz will be out for the season because of a chronic Flack problem. Flag chases. This year both clubs Are off to a slow Start but the old rival is still there. It s another game against Wiesbaden and you know what kind of Battles those games Are. And this one is no different Rhein main coach John Cunningham said. We know it will be another rugged game. We have to Start executing better if we want to turn this season around. We gave the Ball away several times in our territory last week on mistakes in judgement and unforced errors the truth in Cunningham s statement is reflected in the statistics released by the Csc. Jim Murphy and Willie Harris Are the top ground gainers for the rockets with 3.2 and 3.0 averages respectively and Rhein main has no one among the leading pass ers or receivers. The rockets rank third in the league on offence with a 182 average but they Are sixth in defense giving up 226 Yards a game. Wiesbaden ranks just blow Rhein main in total offence with a 173 Yards per game average and just above the rockets on de sense with yardage yield average of 194.5 per game. The flyers offence is geared around the running of Mike Dennis and Larry Rudolph who Are averaging 5.1 and 4.4 Yards per carry respectively. Wiesbaden and Rhein main have each posted a seven Point Triumph Over Wei Blicken and each has been hammered by Sembach. Generating some kind of an offence any kind has been Ramstein s problem so far this year and coach Albert Woods Hopes it will Blossom this week against Hahn. We Haven t been Able to move the Ball this year. You can see by the fact that we re dead last in the league on offence. We hoped we have worked out some of the problems this week and can get moving against Hahn Woods said. We came out of the Pitburg game healthy and we re out to get revenge for an overtime loss we suffered to Hahn last year. Last week s game was lots closer than the final score indicates. We were with them for a half but we made too Many mistakes on offence. We have a couple of our offensive linemen Back this week and we think Well be better Woods added. Hahn is still looking for its first win and the statistics show Why. The Hawks Are sixth in the league on offence and seventh on defense. Their Best runner is averaging Only 3.0 Yards a carry and they Don t have anyone among the leading passers.
