Running in the rolling Hill country be Hind to Gelwich Cavern s Hornc Ckon Hills housing area Langmaack took the women s open title in 18 minutes Flat for the 5 kilo ctr women s distance. Williams captured the men s masters Crown with a time of 33 03 Over the 10 kilo ctr run by All entries in the men divisions. Other winners in the men s Competition were Csc s David Ronnie san who ran a 31 17 for the open Crown and the Mac s Larry Reyes who clocked a 32 29 in Tak ing the seniors Competition. Ronnie san finished second in last year s air Force worldwide championships when he was stationed in California. He ii be going Back to California to Mather fab outside of Sacramento for the worldwide Competition in two weeks oct. 27-29this time As a member of the Safe team. Last year he ran for Strate Gic air come. In the women s Competition Over 5 Kilometres the Mac s Jean Baker clocked a 25 20 to claim the seniors Crown and the . Conference s Gloria Duffy ran a 26 15 for the master s title. Langmaack was her old self pulling ahead of the pack right at the Start. Then As Csc competitor Donna Underwood who finished second said she just goes on  Underwood finished with a 19 09 clocking. I went out easy because i wanted to Sec who else was there Langmaack said. Then when i saw nobody was going to keep up 1 concentrated on my form and just tried to run a smooth race. I figured there was t any reason to kill myself especially since Safe is Only two weeks away in the women s seniors. Baker watched Langmaack pull ahead of everybody else and decided to just run her own pare. That was Good enough for the title even though she suffered an allergy attack right after the race. A lot of runners have that Jack Rabbit Start and they kill themselves and can finish. I knew Carol was in a totally different league from me and everybody else so i just ran As Well As i  Baker said. In the women s masters Duffy finished first despite having trained Only since june. However she s been putting in three Miles a Day and supplementing that with aerobics to keep in shape. It helped her on a course that everyone agreed was Superb. The Uphill and downhills were Good and it was a Nice smooth course said Duffy who is stationed at Lakin Heath. I did Well the first mile but i tired after that and had to gather everything together to do As Well As 1  in the men s run pennies in beat out another new arrival the . S Wally Saegr who clocked a 32 21. However Ronnie san was t pleased with his time. That time was slow Rennic sen said. For the Effort i put Forth 1 expected a 30 Flat. But the course was Lough and the weather was cold for me since 1 just came from  the other runners More accustomed to the German Falls All liked the weather calling it Ideal for  no wind and it was Cool just right for running Williams said. I be been run Ning a lot the last two months with Karl Rod for who was competing in these Nioras. I think i m in the Best shape Ever right now and i m ready to defend my air Force  Reyes thinks the Competition also helped him out. The Competition this year is much tougher than it was in the past. At first i was discouraged out there and after two Miles i was Labouring. With three Miles past i finally got going Good and smooth. I go through stages in a run like that All the  Reyes said. Reyes came in fifth at worldwide last year and Hopes to improve this year. This course had a lot of downhill but it was Tough. I think i can run a 30 30 on a smooth course Reyes said.
