The enquirer reported in sunday s editions that notre Dame s i-3 record its worst Start since 1962, has left Many players discouraged and questioning some coaching decisions. Seattle whips Atlanta 30-26 4 ads for Krieg Seattle up1 Dave Krieg threw for 405 Yards and four touchdowns sunday including a 12-Yard scoring pass to Paul Skansi with 35 seconds left As the Seattle so Hawks beat the win less Atlanta Falcons 30-26. Kring s game winning pass capped a i6 play 86-Yard drive for the so Hawks. Seattle had fallen behind 26-21 with 530 left when Mick Luckhust kicked a 40 Yard Field goal for the Falcons. Seattle picked up an additional two paints on a safety with 20 seconds remain ing. Defensive end Randy Edwards stripped Atlanta quarterback Dave Archer of the Ball on the Falcons 7 and the Ball was knocked out of the end zone. Krieg completed 33 of 51 passes. He now has thrown at least one touchdown pass in 24 straight games the third longest Streak in nil history. Daryle Lamonica threw touchdowns in 25 consecutive games for the Oakland raiders. Johnny Unitas holds the league record with touchdown passes in 47 straight games for the Baltimore Colts. Krieg entered the game tied for third with Frank Ryan and Sonny Jurginson. Steve Largent led the sea Hawks receiving corps with eight receptions with 103 Yards and one touchdown. Seattle s Charlie Young caught seven passes for 91 Yards and a score. Archer filling in for injured Steve bar Tkowski completed 14 of 27 passes for 209 Yards and two touchdowns. Gerald Riggs led Atlanta s Rushing game with 23 carries for 139 Yards. Atlanta fell to 0-6. Curl Warner had 66 Yards running for Seattle 4-2. The Falcons went ahead 26-21 1 07 into the fourth Quarter. Seattle punter Dave Finzer attempted to run on fourth Down from the so Hawks 39 but he lost 2 Yards and the Falcons took Over. On the first play from scrimmage wide receiver Anthony Allen leaped Over cornerback Terry Taylor to grab a 37-Yard scoring pass from Archer giving the Falcons a 23-21 Lead. On the first play of Seattle s next posses Sion Young caught a 5-Yard pass from Krieg but linebacker David fryc stripped him of the Ball. Cornerback Wendell Cason recovered at the sea Hawks 24. Three plays netted the Falcons just a Yard so Luckhurst came in to kick a 40-Yard Field goal his fourth of the game and 15th consecutive. Seattle built a 21-9 Lead with 14 48 remaining in inc game when Kring connected with Byron Walker on a 24-Yard scoring pass
