A the University of California announced wednesday the firing of Joe Kapp in Bis fifth year As head football coach effective at the end of the season. Athletic director Dave Maggard who hired Kapp said at a news con Ference that he asked Kapp to resign last saturday but the coach declined. A decision to Force Kapp out was made tuesday night Maggard said. I think everybody wants to have a winning coach Maggard said.
