We had a lot of fun doing it we wrote eight or nine verses t was playing him the album and he liked the Riff from one of the songs and said. Let s Lake a Riff like that and write a song for me so a wrote two songs one which was on his album got my mind made up and Jammin me but he never got around to that one he Only did ii once in rehearsal. I took it to Mike Campbell because i thought the words were really Good but i did t think the Riff was too much. Mike had some great ideas for it so i asked Bob if i could put it on the album and he said Petty adapted an overtly political tone on several songs from the album. Being a songwriter now is a much More important Job than it was in 76," he explained.
