When an no owners a female airman air woman an apartment rent free if she will entertain him he should disc be dealt with on the same level i really Don t think the problem lies with the assailant in lies with the victim and the disciplinarians. It it the  of the victim to report an incident and follow up on it. I understand that a per son can be frightened in that Siu Talion but without action on their part the situation could Worsen. The victim reluctance to report an incident is lie failing of the Chain of command the Chain of com Mand must Deal with the situation and punish those responsible in severe Case. The punishment is where the major flaw lies. When i say thai the harasser should be punished i mean everyone. Not just e-4 and below. Ucma has some convenient Loop holes for those who Are a e-5 and above and b within three years of retirement. It is Lime for those charged with disciplining sol Diers airmen and sailors to use Ucma Asil was meant. It is not a system thai was designed to be implemented at their convenience. Until a few Yean ago a Large pan of inc military was unchartered territory for women. Not so Long ago the Secretary of the Navy stated that he Felt thai women did t belong in the service academies. He Felt thai the academies were established to train the american offi Cerlo be the finest fighting Man in the world there fore women should nol be allowed to attend the Aca demies. I agree Wilh that concept but i feel that alternative educational programs should be provided. Women Are not allowed into combat arms occupations but Are certainly the equal of men in combat support area. There is one Long term Given about the military that women should realize it they plan on making it their career. Combat arms runs the military. Women Are excluded from combat arms thus they will almost certainly be subordinate 10 a Roan their whole career. Sexual harassment is a problem but i seriously doubt it is on a level As High As everyone would have us believe. It is the responsibility of those in command and the senior cos to handle any incident of sexual harassment. If you Are sexually harassed report it. If you Are no satisfied Wilh he results continue up your Chain of command. There Are other problems outside of sexual harassment that need to be addressed in the military. Repair those holes in the system first sexual harassment will not go away but it certainly will diminish. Sexual harassment in the military deserve attention but 1 think you will find another problem will be in Vogue within three months. .
