The program started last year with about three students volunteering to help a teacher with a learning impaired class. The program grew according to Junior High Counselor Marlene Fritz mainly through word of Mouth. We had 25 requests from teachers when the school year started for some kind of Aid futz said. She and elementary Counselor Pat dish pics worked together to set up the program. A. They arc evaluated by the elementary Leacher they Are helping. Participants receive either a passing or failing Grade. Tracy Kyriakeas who leaches English As a second language is Happy with Gurisko. She is very helpful and lakes it upon herself to expand on an activity that i want her to do Kyriacas said. When we were leaching the concepts of up and Down she got out blocks and slacked hem. She really enjoys working with the  other students in inc program Are Happy with their decisions to become aides Tabitha Smith said she chose to Hel with third graders because.
