Ramstein was leading 2-1 when Francisco Lopez singled Greg Wolfgang singled and Baldo followed with his Homer to left. Ramstein scored its runs in the sixth on a throwing error by Mainz Center fielder John Renda Mark Jiminez double and a fielder s Choice grounder by Mike Jacob. Mainz had taken a 1-0 on Angel Vasquez inside the Park Homer in the first inning. Espada Kirk limited Ramstein to four hits Over eight innings. He fanned five and walked two. Reese Barry got the last three outs and struck out two in the process. Loser Gene Tucker went the distance for Ramstein allowing eight hits and fanning eight with three walks. The playoff series resumes sunday with Ramstein hosting Mainz in a nine inning game at Vogel Weh starting at noon. If Ramstein wins the teams will play a seven inning rubber game.
