Even though there Are Many More females in the work Force today than Ever before some have no marketable skills and must take Low paying jobs to support their families. I feel compelled to Tell the folks i Call on that they arc the other people that tragedy strikes. I was the other person myself several years ago. My wife and i lost our son. We thought such tragedies Only happened to others. We had no insurance to cover the funeral so we had to borrow. I remember that an insurance Salesman had tried to sell me a policy on my child and 1 thought he was a Slick operator trying to unload something id never use. After All. The child was perfectly healthy and besides parents arc supposed to die first. Ann. Let people know that insurance in t a Racket. It can be a life Saver at a time when they need it most. Now he resents the fad that i make More Money than he docs. Last week he accused me of cheating on him. I asked. Where would i find the time the fight ended with him hitting me in the Back with a chair. I have to gel away from this nut. My nerves can t Lake much More. When i come Home and pull into the driveway at night my stomach knots up. His family thinks counselling would help and they want me to try. But i re ally Don t like him anymore. I m still in my 20s and probably could find someone else. Should i try counselling for the child s Sake 1 am being lugged Back and Forth emotionally and i need some objective advice. In the Hanau area parents arc required to pay a set Price regardless if the child is in the Center or not. If your child is out of school for a week sick you still have to pay the Center plus someone else since your child is unable to attend the Center during this time. If the parents take leave and want to take their child out of school to spend time together they arc still required to pay the child care Center or lose the Slot. This May mean looking for someone else to care for your child. If the school is closed for Snow Days you arc still required to pay the school plus you will have to pay a Siller because some parents still have to work on these Days. When the child care Center is closed on a Holiday the parents Are again still required to pay. Paying for a Holiday is one thing but having to pay Lor child care when your child is Oul sick is asking Loo much. The regular schoolchildren Are Given a vacation. The children in inc child care cell or should also be Given a vacation. 1 have thought about this Issue and i have an idea that May help the parents. There should be two weeks set aside for vacation Lime during the year. If More Lime is required than this vacation Ihen charge one half of the regular Price per week for holding the Slot. If a child is out of school sick for a week Lei s say the child has the flu the parcels should have a slip signed by a doctor. This slip should be taken to inc censer and inc parents should not have to pay for Hal week. I think inc pricing policy should be looked Over again in the child care centers. Frances a. The following Are the child development Center cd programs and prices offered within the Hanau military Community program Cost full Day $200 per month kindergarten $150 per month part Day school age $87 per month part Day preschool 2 per month hourly $1.25 per hour special needs mainstreamed into above programs. Each Center has a limited number of child care spaces in each program. In order to keep a Center operating economically income from child care spaces must cover labor expenses. If the income does not cover the expenses. Child development sen ices cd May need to raise child care fees. If a child is sick or goes on vacation you can either find someone to take your child s space or the Center will try and nil the space for you. Bui if and when the Slot becomes vacant then the Patron is responsible for the fees. Each child enrolled in a cd program with the exception of hourly care has a reserved space. Al though your child May not attend the cd because of sickness vacation etc., your child s teacher must still be paid because cacs labor costs Are constant. The Only exception is emergency leave. Patrons will not be charged to Reserve spaces in cacs when they withdraw their children due to emergency leave. The cacs Are Mission essential facilities. Therefore when inclement weather conditions occur the centers will stay open until every child has been picked up and Only close upon direction of the Community commander.
