The couple has a 29-year-old son Jon who tends bar in Malibu. Jack has a daughter from a previous marriage a Yvonne 45, a chiropractor a and Elaine has a son a Dan 41, a forensic photographer. Like his wife Lalanne was not always the picture of health. The son of poor French immigrants he was bom in Oakland in 1914 and grew up to become a Suga Holic he Jack Lalanne demonstrates that at age 76 he still has the strength and body of someone 20 years his Junior. While the easiest course covering 1 to 3 Kilometres can be negotiated in 20 minutes and is designed for novices or children. Yellow courses 3 to 4 Kilometres follow obvious trails although the control markers May be somewhat hidden off the Trail. Then in order of difficulty come Orange Green red and Blue the latter for the elite. A Blue course is 8 to 10 Kilometres Long with a dozen or More control Points and requires an hour or More to Complete. In addition to the skill Levels competitors Are divided into various classifications by age and gender and cumulative Point scores Are kept by the us of Over the course of two principal seasons Spring and fall. Competition is worldwide with championships every other year. There is a . National team and although americans Are improving they remain far behind the european elite. The next world championship will be in Czechoslovakia in 1991 in 1993, the United states will Host the championship for the first time somewhere in the Northeast.
