Everyone agreed. A week later they changed their minds. We had fallen in love with the House so we bought it anyway. We purchased some of the Fumi Ture under a separate agreement and paid top Dollar for it. The Sellers daughter told us we could have whatever other pieces were left behind. A upon our taking Possession the wife became very emotional and cried on the Back porch. I tried to be sympathetic and assured her that we would take very Good care of the House she loved so much. It has been two weeks since we moved into this place and not a Day has gone by that the wife Hasni to phoned me about something and then shown up. On her first visit she took Back some tables that she said we could have. The next morning she asked for the sweeper Back. The same afternoon she came by for a lamp that her daughter was a attached the woman literally pulled the plug on my son who was using it to do his Homework. Yesterday she called in the morning and asked if she could drop off some brochures on How to care for the Lawn. I told her my husband was very Good with lawns and we did no to need any literature. When i returned Home she was at the neighbors House waiting for me. She had a a forgotten the chess set that was in the basement. I done to want to get ugly Ann but this thing is getting out of control. What do you suggest unsettled in Akron Ohio dear Akron i hate to sound like a broken record but in a saying it one More time. A no one can take advantage of you with a out your you have allowed this incredibly nervy woman a she is also severely neurotic a to manipulate you unmercifully. Explain that the very sight of her and the sound of her voice makes you feel guilty for having bought the House she loved so much and although you know its irrational that a the Way it is so please do not Telephone or come to the House Ever again. Dear Ann Landers. I was divorced in 1978 and remarried four years ago. Yesterday i received an invitation to my songs wedding addressed to me Only. A phone Call to my son confirmed that my wife was not invited. She had nothing to do with my divorce. I met her after my sex wife and i split my relationship with my children has been strained since the divorce although i have consistently tried to reach out to them their loyalty to their Mother prevents. Them from reciprocating. This has been very painful. I love my son and want to attend his wedding. I have never however received nor have i accepted an invitation that did not include my wife. How do i respond father and husband dear f and h there Are some glaring omissions in your letter. Why Are your children so unfriendly did you do something to them or their Mother that would generate such hostility in the past when a divorced and remarried person has asked about attending the wedding of a child and the new spouse is not invited 1 have said a if you really want to be there go alone. An understanding Loving mate will not be resentful or feel c creators Syndicate. A Reader angered by German demands l was totally disgusted dismayed and just simply beside myself when i heard that the germans want facilities that . Forces arc abandoning to be upgraded to German construction standards and those that arc not completed to be finished before they Are turned Over to the government i.e., the elementary and Junior High schools at we be spent thousands of american lives in War decades of rebuilding and mountains of Cash on German welfare. Now they have the audacity to insist that we spend More Money that have on their on self interests and in the same breath Tell us to a get out and without a kiss consider that qty taxes and yours have been paying for this social welfare give away program for years that i too have had relatives die in the War that preserved their Freedom and that we graduate High school illiterates that we have homeless people that our hospitals turn away the sick living if they done to have a policy that we. Have a huge deficit and drug problem and on and on. Don t get me wrong. My disgust is not simply focused on Germany. When one considers the ineptitude of our elected officials of the past and Washington one May see the real problem that America has. When we tinally get a governing body in the collective sense that has an intellectually sound commitment to the american people and Ami Ica s future. And forget about popularity political advancement Anil Creed then maybe we will again become the test clod America of old. We have the capacity we have the ability we have the resources. If we would Only Pool out Ellois As a collective body we could once again sit at the Pinnacle of a world or maybe we should just sit Back and Hope for a welfare system in kind from the japanese. A . Robinson Frankfurt Germany a changes suggested for radio format on the one hand an radio you Are doing something really Well. But on the other hand you Are doing yourselves and your listeners a disservice. Congratulations on the a Rock format. You Are combining classic and contemporary Rock and most of your djs Are doing quite a competent Job. However i feel you Are infringing upon the integrity of the music you Are playing by running songs into the hourly newscast. If a song cannot be played in its entirety before the newscast please done to Start it. In be heard some favourites of mine nearly halved in this Way. No neat segues or tasteful fade outs just a wham Bam Here a the news. Frankly i miss the time checks. They provide the Opportunity for a smooth mental Arfel musical transition into the news. Timing and precision Are everything to both the do and the listener when its done right it is a Delight. Maybe my age is showing but i remember those Days when the music was the message and the do was the bearer of Good news. 1 still feel that Way. And please More song ids especially for the contemporary stuff. I realize you re not in the business of Selling these records but if i hear something really great and done to know who it is i feel cheated. A Rock is super in concept and practice. A Little re. Fine mint is All you need now. A Richard a. Pc Acnia Kaiserslautern Germany editors note a Manny Levy broadcast Manug or american forces network Europe replies you re right. Fading music for news does not do the music Justice. We Are looking tit Many pm service changes in the next few months including one to end music flush with the Start of the news. Also we Hope to have More live programs after the first of the year. We will certainly try to implement Many of your suggestions which were All Good at that time thank you for listening. Soldier says Aims of Gulf Mission distorted the first thing 1 would like to say is that this letter reflects the mood of Many of the soldiers Here. I feel that president Bush has distorted the purpose of our military presence in the Middle East. Jobs and Low Oil prices at Home Are not Worth a War. Its not Worth the thousands of lives that could be lost Here. Americans have always faced recessions inflation and unemployment brought on by our own governments greediness and Lack of discipline Long before Saddam Hussein came into the picture. I think we need to take a second look at our presence Here and the lessons that we should have Learned from the Vietnam War it seems that history is repeating itself. No one really knows what the Vietnam War was about just like no one will remember what this one is about we soldiers Are Nob mindless robots.
