My unit returned recently from the persian Gulf. For me it was a Homecoming because my wife was waiting for me. I could not help but think of the single soldiers. Yes they were Given a very warm Wal come by the Community. However these soldiers did no to really come  they left last december without being Able to say goodbye in person to their families and friends. They went off to fight a War in a strange land and then returned to another foreign land. This was a unique situation in . Military history. Congress could ease the Burden on these soldiers by giving them extra leave time or an allowance for travel expenses so they can return to their loved ones. A 1st it.
