Commission on civil rights has stated that the Navy air Force and marines have disproportionately fewer non commissioned and commissioned Black officers than the army and that is Why in part the army a a far surpasses the other branches of the armed services in equal Opportunity for minorities. But 1 noticed that or. Fletcher did not say Why there Are disproportionately fewer Blacks in the other three branches. A is it because Blacks see greater opportunities in the army and therefore join that service in proportionately greater numbers maybe. Or do the other services discriminate in their enlistment policies based on race i think not. Or Are their admission standards higher in some cases and for differing reasons than those of the army if this be the Case then we All urgently need to make greater efforts and work together toward raising minority educational opportunities and achievements and not be tempted to ask the other services to lower their recruitment standards. However he goes on to state that females have no place in a combat unit . Infantry due to female Hygiene needs. Give me a break 1 spent close to six months in saudi Arabia in the 663rd Ord co with female soldiers. That a right those same females you denigrate. To the Best of my knowledge not once during that time did any of our female soldiers try any a Golly sergeant i can to go to War today. In a having Hygiene  on the whole i found them to be professional in their daily routine. We were the most Forward Asp. That Means no Barracks. We stayed in the Field the entire War. We stayed in tents built our own showers drove Miles to get water to Shower with. I pulled . With females on my guard shift. No one Ever failed me. Ill stand by any of the female soldiers in my unit. They stood by me. They earned my respect in saudi Arabia. 1 just Hope 1 earned theirs. They worked and survived in a combat environment. All the bullets and bombs Over there were real. All the soldiers of my unit were ready to fight if we had to. So please get off your old worn out and useless excuse. The reason that the summer hire program appears to be a Good idea gone bad is that there Are not Many people who Are willing to put the time and Effort necessary into the program to help develop the skills of today a Young people. 1 do not believe that today a youth a do not want to be saddled with  the problem is that most of them Are never Given the Opportunity to be responsible or be held responsible. At Home they Are always too Young or too old to do things or it is easier for the parents to do things themselves than it is to take time to teach the child How to do the tasks. At school with exceptions most teachers end up being baby Sitters due to overcrowded classrooms or Lack of interest and do not have the time or assets to teach morals and values and everyday skills things that should be taught at Home.
