I arrived at 26th signal and deployed to saudi Arabia in december 1990.1 arrived in the desert and was assigned to Charlie co on Christmas Day. This Wasfie to the Way i wanted to spend Christmas but a lot of us did not want to be in saudi. We accomplished our Mission As the main communications for Vii corps during operation desert shield and desert storm. I must say i was so glad to be assigned to a unit that could accomplish its War Mission in an outstanding manner. I have been in artillery units for the last 15 years and the 26th is my first signal assignment. Having a signal mos occupational specially does not always mean you will be assigned to a signal support unit. It was rewarding to being Able to see a unit work together.
