Joan Wilcox of Mannheim elementary school and Andrew Zacharias of Vilseck High school were nominated through the department of defense dependents schools Headquarters in Washington where they will compete with Dodds principals worldwide for the annual title. A seven member panel selected the two principals from a Field of six. The other candidates were Lynda a. Simmons Span Dahlem elementary school Catherine Ake Frankfurt High school Susan Kraebber Vogel Weh elementary school and Linda l. Mccauley Augsburg elementary school. Superintendents from the Bremerhaven and Wurzburg districts did not submit entries because of a High turnover rate and a Large number of principals with limited experience officials  offered Washington the Uso and Anheuser Busch inc. Have announced that scholarship applications Are available for the school year 19921993. The Budweiser Uso scholarship program is open to All family members of Active duty military members who have graduated from High school within the last four years. Spouses Are encouraged to apply. The system supports roughly 135,000 pupils in 250 schools in 19 different countries. Currently the Only summer sessions available through the overseas schools Are a handful of enrichment programs usually geared toward High school age students. But under the new program the system will offer school for All grades and will include remedial As Well As enrichment programs of Gara said.
