Kyles director of minority affairs at Northwestern a Law school filed a lawsuit earlier in the week to Force her insurance Carrier to pay for her unborn infant s heart transplant. She said that during a routine meeting with doctors at children a memorial Hospital she Learned her insurance which is administered by Blue Cross Blue shield would not pick up the estimated $500,000 Tab for the infant s transplant and subsequent care. The suit filed in Cook county chancery court against Northwestern University said the Chicago woman selected the most comprehensive health plan offered by Northwestern which is self insured and has been making Premium payments regularly. Although a list of transplant exclusions was attached other plans offered no such list was attached to the plan Kyles selected the suit said.
