I have been dutifully changing my address to the new four line format. Someone said this is supposed to Speed up mail delivery. Can get that person s name and address that person owes me Money. My Job requires that i travel extensively. My visa and diners club Bills combined average Between $3,000 and $4,000 per month. They each have the mythical 23-Day Grace period. I have never been late on a payment until i changed the address to the four line format. 1 checked mail on . 26 and had nothing. I checked mail again on the 28th and found seven pieces of mail. Of the seven three had the new four line format one of which was my visa Bill which was mailed on . 4. A three pieces of mail that had the new four line format had spent time being mis sent to Apo 09128, 1 have no idea How Long they spent there. The other pieces of mail which had the old addresses arrived from the states within six working Days. My visa Bill was due . 29. It was for Over $2,300 and my payment of course will be late. Thanks to whoever thought this up. I am afraid to compute the late payment charge. My diners club Bill usually gets Here the same Day As my colleagues who received his on . 23. While my husband was deployed to saudi Arabia for operation desert shield storm 1 went Back to the states Courtesy of Mac military Airlift Cometo visit my family. Everywhere were flags and yellow ribbons and signs of support. But the one incident that is Foremost in memory occurred when i was leaving the United states. I had caught a flight out of Dover fab del., that was diverted after about an hour into the flight to Westover fab mass. When we landed the people at the terminal tried to make us As comfortable As possible when our a Brief Layover turned into a 14-hour wait. Connected to the terminal was a Large hangar that had been turned into a huge Welcome Home party Complete with food drinks flags a red carpet hot showers and people waiting for the troops returning from the Gulf. There were always quite a few people waiting to Greet the returning men and women whether they numbered in the hundreds or just a few. Some of those waiting were Vietnam veterans. It was around 3 . And i was talking to some people who had volunteered their time when six men arrived from the Gulf. The music began to play the people started to cheer a Lone Vietnam Veteran waited at the end of the carpet to shake their hands. He was sitting in a wheelchair and both of this legs were missing. As the last Young Man in desert bus Battle dress uniform walked toward the Man in the wheelchair the Veteran extended his hand but the Young Man did t shake it. Instead he Bent Down and hugged him and then took a few Steps Back and saluted him As tears streamed Down the older Many a face. Please remember that there Are Many veterans who never received even a simple a thank you until almost 20 years after coming Home and another 55,000 made it Home just in time for their own funerals. To some it is the murder of unborn children and to others it is the Best Case solution to a Host of socioeconomic problems. 1 am sorry but the killing of a human being is a serious matter and the killing murder of innocent human beings is never to be allowed. Abortion is not the answer to a couple who want their baby to be a different sex. It is not the answer to babies possibly being born with a physical or mental Handicap. It is not the solution to child abuse nor is it the solution for women victimized by the terrible crime of rape or incest. It most certainly is not the method by which we end teen age pregnancies or cure babies being born to mothers who cannot support them. These Are certainty serious problems which deserve solutions but killing innocent human beings cannot be the answer.
