The bodies of four of the victims were found last week within 100 Yards of each other and a fifth was dumped in Newark in december. He was not charged with the deaths of two More women whose bodies were discovered in an abandoned House in East Orange one in August and the other last wednesday. At a news conference first assistant Essex county prosecutor Peter Francese said Dennis was arrested Early sunday at his Home. Francese said the investigation was continuing and Dennis has not been ruled out As a suspect in the other two killings. The news that seven women had been killed in the area in the last five months caused panic in East Orange a 3-mile Square City of 76,000 people. The victims were ranged in age from 16 to the Early 30s. The series of killings came to Light Early Friday when a foot patrolman discovered the body of the youngest victim Jamillah Jones. She had been stabbed several times and then had been pushed or fallen off a pedestrian overpass. In a search of the area Friday and saturday police found a knife Blade and three More bodies. Two of the victims have been identified As Elizabeth Clenor and Stephanie Alston both 30, and both East Orange residents. The third remains unidentified. Dennis was also charged with killing Robyn Carter 41. Her body was discovered on Sheffield Street in Newark in december. Additional charges include the attempted murder of two East Orange women Khadijah Harris 23, and Zelda Bailey 26. Francese refused to give any details on what evidence has been uncovered against Dennis or what led to the arrest. Police have reportedly been questioning victims of reported assaults. The slayings frightened residents and mayor Cardell Cooper and police had advised people to avoid walking alone or in dark areas.
