On my arrival to Germany i made the trip to the civilian personnel office i was informed i was not eligible for a Dodds teaching position because i was not a . Citizen. 1 started to look for other employment a my choices drastically reduced As 1 was Only eligible for local National positions. After a month of Volunteer work i applied for the position of a child development services preschool teacher. T was interviewed and after lengthy background checks informed id been offered the position. I went to co to sign my contract and As 1 was discussing the contract with the personnel specialist another employee informed me a mistake had been made. The Job was not available to a local National and i was not eligible for the position. This was confusing As my application had already been approved by the colonel involved in recruiting civilian personnel. 1 was offered no apology. After two months i got a cd position three months later another position became available in the same department three Grade Levels higher than the one i now hold. I have the qualifications to apply for it if Only i was a . Citizen. I feel very let Down by a system that does not offer me an equal Opportunity to compete fairly with other applicants for a position i have the qualifications to hold. Isnit that what most of us think since that time in be been living in Germany with my Fiance looking for employment in my College major. After speaking with the Kirch Gons red Cross station manager i found they needed help in my area of study and since that Day in be had countless opportunities to use my skills. I had no idea the red Cross offered financial Aid to soldiers in emergency situations. Many people Are either too Lazy or just done to care to use the proper method of disposal. I see paper cardboard Glass Wood and household trash in dumpsters. When Irish is mixed and not in the proper dumpster it causes the Deh to leave it until the problem is resolved. When Deh attempts to take the Load to the Wiesbaden Peronie trash dump the City will not allow the dumping of mixed trash. Cardboard and paper must be separated so that they can be recycled.
