I went to my doctor because i was having a lot of pain in my Back. In addition to the pain i noticed that i had lost almost 2 inches in height and my Back starting at the neck is beginning to Hunch Over. It turns out that two of the Bones in my spine have not Only broken but they have collapsed and Are deteriorating. My doctor told me i have some of the risk factors for developing osteoporosis which i did t know. For instance i did t know that since my Mother had osteoporosis i was More Likely to get it. My Mother at age 71, suffered a severe hip fracture which left her permanently disabled. Before this happened she was Active energetic and Young for her age. Today she is old and frail uses a Walker and can no longer Garden do housework or go out with her friends. She is very dependent on me and my brother and we worry that the next step will be a nursing Home. My doctor has Given me a program that will help me Ann Landers prevent additional fractures.
