The 10-year-Olds were not required to enter a plea during the six minute court hearing. They were placed in the care of local government officials and ordered to appear in court again March 3. A court order prevents publication of the boys names or any other information that could identify them. Police have not commented publicly on the motive for James killing or released the autopsy report giving the exact cause of death. The boys Are believed to be the Young est children charged with murder in Brit Ain since 1861. Ten is the youngest age at which children can face criminal charges and prosecutors must prove they knew what they did was wrong. The boys were charged saturday with kidnapping and murdering James and with attempting to Kidnap another 2 year old boy from the same shopping Center. They have been held at separate police stations since their arrest. Police have re fused to reveal their exact location fear ing renewed violence in the North Liverpool neighbourhoods where James parents and the accused live. A jeering unruly crowd descended on a private Home and a police station last week when police held a 12-year-old boy for questioning.
