Cincinnati Rookie Larry Luebbers 2-2 gave up two runs on six hits in six innings. Kent Bottenfield 3-6 was the Winner and Donovan Osborne 9-4 took the loss. Cubs 7, astros 6 Houston Derrick May drove in three runs witha Fust inning double and Chicago stopped a five game losing Streak. Frank Castillo 4-6 allowed two runs and five hits in6% innings As the cubs beat Houston for the third time in 11 games this season. Prost grabs Victory As Hill blows tire Bockenheim Germany up world championship Leader Alain Prost took advantage of the misfortune of his Williams Renault teammate Damon Hill sunday to claim Victory in the German formula one grand prix. Hill retired from the race in the penultimate Lap with a blown left rear tire while holding a comfortable Lead leaving Prost to take the Check ered Flag in 1 hour 18 minutes 40.885 seconds at an average Speed of 233.861 Kph 145.314 Mph. It was the 51st career Victory for the 37-year-Oldfrenchman and it increased his Lead in the world championship standings to 27 Points Over brazilian Mclaren Ford Driver Ayrton Senna. Michael Schumacher of Germany delighted the150,000-Strong crowd by finishing second in a Benetton Ford 16.664 seconds behind Prost while Mark Blun Dell of Britain equalled his Best Ever finish with third place in a Ligier Renault. Senna finished fourth despite spinning off course on the first Lap and falling to last place. Riccardo Patrese of Italy was fifth in the second Benetton and Austria Gerhard Berger was sixth in a Ferrari. Hill the son of former two time world Champion Graham Hill started Well and raced to an Early Lead. Prost picked up a 10-second Stop go penalty after missing a chicane As he sought to avoid a collision with his Arch rival Senna. After the penalty Prost exited the pits in sixth Posi Tion but quickly worked his Way Back to second place behind Hill. V the race continued with Hill Prost and Schumacher in the first three positions until Hill s tire exploded on the second to last Lap and he was forced to withdraw. Hill was also denied Victory at the British grand prix two weeks ago when he had to retire with a blown engine while leading the race. Neither of the two Williams Renault Drivers stopped to change tires throughout sunday s German up. The Lith round of the 16-race formula one seasons the hungarian grand prix on aug. 15
