Patchy rain was forecast from the Southwest to the Gulf coast where highs were expected to warm into the 60s. Fog lingered Over parts of the Northwest including Seattle. Snow was predicted in Mountain areas of the West As the storm moved eastward. On thursday Snow showers a some containing Brief heavy Snow a fell along a front curving from the Ohio Valley across the mid Atlantic states and into Northern new England. Three inches of Snow fell in a half hour in Morgan county . Winds gusted to 48 Mph in Youngstown Ohio meanwhile brisk Westerly winds propelled another front from the Northern Plains to the upper Mississippi Valley and the great lakes Region. The winds added to the chill of Early afternoon temperatures in the single digits and  rain began falling thursday in parts of Southern California ahead of a storm system Over the Eastern Pacific. Southerly winds returned to the Western Gulf coast and the Southern Plains. Precipitation was generally limited to a drizzle around Corpus Christ and Brownsville Texas.
