Although some military communities would deny there is a problem Between the two groups 1 can attest to the fact that there is definitely a serious problem in our Community and it is compounded by racial differences. My first experience with the demarcation of enlisted and officers wives came to Light when i attended an american women a activities Germany meeting. It was an Eye opening experience to see the faces of All those women who did not Welcome me make Eye Contact or acknowledge that i was a guest. No one spoke to me except the person who suggested 1 attend. It is further discouraging and humiliating when an officers wife who is not directly involved with your child As a teacher Counselor bus Monitor Etc., is permitted to lecture your child a without your permission or knowledge. What recourse does a Parent have but to bring this to that person s attention As a reminder of who is responsible for lecturing your child what do you do when your attempt to acknowledge your responsibility suddenly becomes a mild reprimand to your spouse do officers wives now have the authority to see that your spouse is a smacked on the hand because you did what any concerned and offended Parent would do it is a pitiable existence when As a dependent husband or wife you use the rank of your spouse a rank you never earned to try to make a place for yourself in the military Community. Against a Wall up i received a parking ticket for having parked my car in of All places the very same spot its been parked in for the past five years. Confronted by my accuser i passion try argued my Case emphatic gestures and All. He in turn conjured up All his years of training and experience and favored me with his reply a shut up and sit Down a when i suggested that perhaps his specialized training lacked something to be desired he graced me with yet another response to the effect that he trained others and As such required no additional training himself. Sadly i  let that pass. I unwisely pointed out to him that training like. Education was something one could never have too much of. Big mistake.
