That seemed Odd to me until i received my first uniforms from them. I m not sure what they re using for starch but my uni forms Felt like rubberized Canvas. That plus the cleaners evidently could t Man age to get the Light and Standard weigh tops with the Correct pants All that for Only $plus per set no wonder they wan the Money up front. At the alteration shop i just finished round three of attempting to have insignia sewn on some Blu Battle dress uni form shirts. I asked for the special skill badges to be sewn a certain Way in accordance with a 670-1 and even provided an already sewn shirt As an exam ple. The badges were not sewn on How i wanted and the Seamster would not Cor rect the mistakes until i brought the regulation to the shop to prove that air As Sault and airborne badge order of precedence is at the wearer s discretion. Not Only did they provide us with greetings and a smile As we entered but also homemade goodies free sodas and Coffee and at least four movies a Day Forus to paperback v books cards and just a place to also sewed stripes and patches on our uniforms when it was required before we went Down to Africa. Over the years i did t think much about the Uso but after this try i m glad they were around during world War ii the korean War the Vietnam War the persian Gulf War and other locations when needed. Four times since May German police have seized samples of radioactive sub stances they believe originated in Russia nuclear facilities. In one Case the bearers were arrested in Munich after flying non Stop from Moscow. Russian authorities deny that any such materials Are missing. But Security is lax at nonmilitary nuclear laboratories. Furthermore there is no re liable inventory of the former soviet Union s vast stocks of plutonium. Nuclear materials Are present at some 20 facilities not counting Power plants far Flung across Russia Belarus Ukraine an Kazakhstan. The weak government in Moscow is in no position to give credible guarantees. The arrest inside Russia of two unemployed men accused of stealing 21 pounds of uranium-238 underscores the uncertainties. While this material is used in Power plants not bombs it allegedly came from a restricted Access facility in Central Russia. The Clinton administration too must redouble efforts to secure Moscow s co operation. Existing . Aid programs addressing the nuclear problem Are moving slowly.
