As a result of the fall in his hotel room monday night the former presidential press Secretary missed an anti violence symposium in new York City where he and his wife were scheduled to speak about gun control. Brady was treated at a Hospital in new York and returned to his Home in Washington on tuesday said Jamie Shor spokeswoman for the Washington based Center to prevent handgun violence. Brady was shot in the head in the 1981assassination attempt on Reagan outside a Washington hotel. Leading the flow of Money from the tobacco Industry to Republican party coffers was Philip Morris which contributed $729,749. The study found that was a record for soft Money contributions from a single donor to a single political party of even to both parties combined for a january through june reporting period. During the same period Philip Morris gave $61,000in soft Money to the democrats including a $50,000 donation to the democratic National committee on March 14.
