S. Photographs by Hannes Betzler the Camilla Mayer Aerial troupe  of its Jast european performances atop Germany s highest Mountain for nine years the Camilla Mayer High wire troupe has been touring  weekend May 3hoping for a Chance to get to America. Early this month their chances looked better than Ever. With a two year contract in the offing manager Hans Zimmer to focus attention on his troupe invited the press to watch his performers walk a wire stretched from Germany s highest Mountain Zug Spitze 10,000 feet. Both Zimmer s Hopes materialized not Only did his artists perform successfully on the wind swayed Cloud enveloped wire but the society of friends agreed to sponsor the troupe s u. S. Tour to Start in july or August. For what Zimmer called his most spectacular show his men stretched their 550 foot Cable from the West Peak of the Zug Spitze to the  station. While expert Mountain climbers held the moorings 17-year-old Siegwart Bach gingerly stepped along the Cable completed the trip in five minutes. But Clouds had obscured the wire photographers were disappointed. Next Day Bach agreed to repeat the performance was successful again. This time he got an assist from Gisela Lenort 18, the show s co Star who forbidden to walk the entire Cable slipped out a few feet from one end let Bach step Over her As he completed the trip.
