Charles h. Dickey whose husband is a department of the army civilian with Usa eur head quarters a Heidelberg. During the 12 years the dickeys have been in Germany she served As an Awag Board member twice before assuming chairmanship. She also assisted in Organ izing the conference of american women s activities in Europe of which she was chairman in 1955, As Well As vice chairman Secretary and Board member during other years. She comes from Villa Grove 111. Vice chairman and Wiesbaden area Board 1vikmbermrs. William f. Grubb who has also been on the Awag Board since its inception. She is now president of the Wiesbaden officers wives club and has held various positions with organizations at other bases. Her Hometown is san Antonio Tex. Secretary mrs. Edward Stokes an other Awag Board member for several years and former Secretary of the con Ference of american women s activities in Europe and the German american women s club in Heidelberg. A native of Chicago she attended North Western University and the University of Chicago and served with the City s red Cross for two years before coming to Ger Many in 1946. Or. Stokes is a department of the army civilian with Usa eur head quarters in Heidelberg and their son Graham is stationed with the army near Nurnberg. Treasurer and Stuttgart area Board member mrs. Donald h. Smith who has served in this capacity for Awag since 1957, along with filling a number of positions with women s organizations in the Stuttgart area where the family arrived the summer of 56.
