Our club House is completed and has been unofficially open for about a month but our grand opening is to be the7th of november. We have already had three Turkey shoots trap and the turn Outhas been great. Our shooting facilities Are still somewhat crude but the spirit Osgood and it appears As if we Are going to have a really great club. Enthusiasm is High and we Are getting Good support from Ever direction. The original few who started the Ball rolling have been putting in Long hard hours and the results Are More than can be expected. We have space for a skeet Range a Large bore Range a pistol Range and we Are planning an indoor air gun Range for a Junior Marksman shop program. So far we Haven t leased any fishing water but we have committee working on it and should be in business by next Spring. We already number Over three Hundred paid and actives an Haven t even had a membership drive yet. I feel Safe in estimating an eventual thousand members. The grand opening is going to Bereal important in the membership department. If we can come off big and show the people that we intend to have a Good club think most of the membership Mountain will be moved. The people Here want a club and will support it if it s Worth while. That Why we want this grand opening to be a gala affair. Letters have gone out to As Many firms As we could find addresses asking for brochures handouts Price lists Etc. We have invited local houses to set up displays and have reps on hand to answer questions and take orders for merchandise. If you could help us Here it sure would be appreciated. We have plenty of room an will have tables for displays. If you know of any one who can exhibit any kind of sporting goods for our opening we sure would like to tee them. We will help any Way possible. I have also asked for merchandise donations to be used As door prizes. I dislike having to do this but we Are barely getting started and funds Are limited to say the least. We will of course publicize the donations and the contributors will Benefit the advertising and Good  will have a ribbon cutting by general Birdsong at 1300 hours and have open House until 1800. We Haven t decided yet on entertainment but we May have some sort of stage show. We intend to have free Beer and probably some kind of free eats sgt Eugene a.
