Britton s intense interest in music began in College he hold a degree in music from Augsburg College Minneapolis and in 1959-60 he came to Lon Don to take voice lessons from Eva Turner. Then i took a Job As dormitory Counselor Here the Ameri can High school at Lakenheath eng land during the 1960-61 school year Britton said with a wry smile. Since then he has continued in the employ of american dependent schools at 2itburg chateau Roux France Wiesbaden and Lakenheath. When i first went to work 1 did find time for singing but i began to sing again in Earnest at  recital in the German spa City brought a laudatory review in the wies Badener tag Blatt which commented on the pleasing and Rich Quality of Brit ton s voice. Britton came Back to Lakenheath a assistant High school principal in july 1966 and this fall took the reins a principal. In England there Are numerous opportunities to sing with top Amateur groups and i have been fortunate enough to take advantage of the situation. The Range of my voice makes i fairly easy to find roles with local sing ing  at 34 Britton feels his voice is just approaching maturity and for this Rea son he says he must stay Active if he Hopes to reach his potential. He has Sung at Benefit concerts i great Yarmouth,.England, and is scheduled to sing at a number of concert this fall and Winter. A native of Kansas City his parents live in Leavenworth Vanbritton s experience includes an 18-month stint a director of the 60-voice army chorus at it. Additionally the dependent wife quite often is forced to resign a teaching position in the Middle of the school year to accompany he sponsor on a permanent change of station. District superintendents and school principals in us Desedare encouraged to keep dependent wives informed of existing opportunities encourage them to apply for such teaching positions and employ them whenever possible. If it appears from information available at the time of application that the dependent will be available for a full school year every consideration is Given to the local applicant prior to re questing teacher recruitment in the . Dear Ann Landers i have something to say to All kids who Are fed up with school and think they would be better off if they quit and got a  Best Way to get my  across is to ask you to print this letter dear John Doe or i a sorry i had to turn you Down this afternoon when you Cameto my office and applied for a Job. Judging from the so what expression on your face i suspect you have been turned Down before. Probably dozens of  seemed like a Nice enough Young Man neat an polite and willing but you did t have a High school diploma. I know you can read be cause you came to my office i response to an and which appeared in the paper. Apparently you skimmed Over the line which read High school graduates the Job you wanted has a excellent future. It offered unusual opportunities for advancement. I am sorry you did t qualify. And now i would like to give you one bit of advice. Go Back to school an graduate. That diploma is far More important than the car you Are supporting. And Young Man if you can possibly go on to College go you May feel it is a waste of time but take my word for it it is the smartest thing you can  world is changing and those who Are not equipped to meet the new challenges will be left behind. Good  Man who had to say no dear Man i Hope your Mes Sage sinks into hundreds of thousands of skulls around the country. And now May i grab the Tail of the Kite and add a word of my own i have never had a letter from a Reader saying he was sorry he stayed in High school and graduated but i have haystacks of mail from dropouts begging me to get the word to other teen agers for whom it is not too late.
