Industry use of Gas would be taxed at 39cents per thousand cubic feet in 1979, and $1.89 in 1985 under the Carter proposal but the committee approved 20 cents to $1.10.for utilities also the committee approved a somewhat lighter tax Load tha Carter had proposed.
