We do give the audience what they like mainly simplistic lyrical music. However the Musi Cal taste of our band is very diverse so we can lean toward a variety of things such As  with their Rich tonal details and experimental blends is trying to wean the audiences away from simplistic music he said. In the last several years the group has abandoned the flamboyant theatrical effects which were mainly embodied in former Lead Singer Peter Gabriel who left to form his own group in 1974. Hackett seemed relieved that that the band s outland ish image left with Gabriel. The emphasis now is on sophistication in both music and stage effects and these changes have enhanced the genesis image. Their latest release wind and withering climbed to the top of the British charts in Only five weeks. The stage effects Are no exception to the group emphasis on sophistication.
