Yates scored the first touchdown on a seven Yard Jaunt and Coxe who also kept the bearcats in difficulty with several Fine punts added the last two each coming from eight Yards away. He also booted the game s Only conversion. Yates accounted for 85 Yards in 14 car Ries and Coxe notched 84 in 17 As the i Hawks ran up 189 Yards for scrimmage. Both also were Hurt statistically when Sev eral Long gainers were negated by the rash of penalties. The i Hawks were hit for 135 Yards while bad Kreuz Nach was nailed for 87v2. They also Cut wide receiver Lenny Willis and defensive Back Joe Blahak. The Cleveland Browns Cut their squad Down to the 48-Man limit by asking waivers on quarterback Terry Luck and placing receiver Steve Holden on the Reserve list. The St. Louis cardinals placed Rookie linebacker Rick Fenlaw on the injured re serve list and signed linebacker Tim Black. Defensive lineman Earl Jones was Cut by the Miami dolphins after having just signed with Miami tuesday. The Tampa Bay buccaneers Cut safety Ricky Davis and linebackers Aaron Ball and Steve Maughan and signed defensive tackle Bill Kollar who had been waived by the Cincinnati bengals. Wide receiver Mel Baker a three year Veteran who was a free agent was waived by the Buffalo Bills along with Quarter Back Fred Besana and linebacker Greg Morton. The new York giants asked waivers on wide receiver Don Zimmerman running Back . Jennings and Rick Volk a safety and placed running Back Marsh White on the injured Reserve list. Couple of minor scoring threats late in the opening period and Early in the second Quarter losing the Ball once on a Fumble and once More on another interception. The two clubs played Fumble itis for most of the third period before Hahn finally held onto the Ball Long enough to get its final score with 43 seconds left in the third period.
