The first Dodd eur night game Ever played in Germany wound up in a 0-0 standoff Between Augsburg and Stuttgart As both teams played Sterling defensive Ball. The Fiel was in immaculate condition and the lighting was quite Good. The lights were installed this Spring and the High school game was the first tackle game played there. However the Wiley Barracks sports Branch has been using the Field for night Flag football games and the Day also is playing its games under the arcs. And Arock concert also was staged there. I thought the setup was great Augsburg and Dennis Lavalley said. Once the game was approved by Dodd eur the people Here in Neu Ulm took Over and handled every thing. The Field was fenced in and we were Able to ask for donations to help out our athletic fund. The Field was great the lights were certainly Bright enough and everything worked perfectly. We at Augsburg High school certainly appreciate the great cooperation we  thirteen of the 15 football games played in Dodd eur last weekend and most of the volleyball and Cross country reports made it to the stars & stripes sports desk in time for publication. That was pretty Good and we thank All the coaches for their help. However prep Pickin s was disappointed in some of the reports because the visiting schools were virtually neglected. Several coaches had Good details on their teams and practically nothing on the visitors. All the deserving athletes like to read about their achievements. If the Home team and visiting coaches could get together briefly after the games it would be possible to get All the details and space permitting is would be Able to provide better coverage. Prep Pickin s is going to try to keep the football scoring statistics again this year but that of course depends upon the coaches getting accurate reports into us. As of this writing Hahn s Walter Weathersby is the leading scorer with three touchdowns Good for 18 Points. The i Hawks have played two games while most of the other schools have played Only one.
