The average which had climbed 101 Points since april 21 to a three month High plunged 14.07 Points thursday As investors cashed in on profits. The new York Stock Exchange Index added 0.37 to 63.42 and Standard & poor s 500 Stock Index eased up 0.62 to 111.24. Advances edged declines 1,033 to 823, among the 2,089 issues  Market was closed last monday for memorial Day. Institutions have been buying selected issues and speculators have been buying Oil stocks Over the past few weeks. Despite this week s activity the trend does t appear to be ending for a number or reasons. Although he expressed some concern Friday president Carter in a political speech in Columbus Ohio said his administration is turning the tide on the econ  he might be right and this has some analysts worried.
