European Stars And Stripes (Newspaper) - January 8, 1981, Darmstadt, Hesse January 1981 the stars and stripes Page 25 before the Germany basketball Campaign even gets under prep pickins has received a letter from one of the coaches complaining about his schools switch in the Ezra whose Ansbach girls team rated among the Best in Germany last season when they shared the red division South championship with Munich and were upset in the first round of the class b but bounced Back to take Consolation wants to know Why Ansbach is competing in the Silver North league this year instead of Silver Ive coached girls basketball at Ansbach for four years now and weve always been in the Southern area along with Augsburg and Karlsruhe and this year were competing in the Silver North Wuerzburg was in class a last year and they had a bad now there Back in class its All right that they chose to come Back to class but my question is Why does Ansbach have to be the team that is moved out of Dodds South Why Wuerzburg have been assigned to Silver North y from a Money it Doest make sense to have Wuerzburg in the South and Ansbach in the Wuerzburg certainly is closer to Baum older and Berlin than Ansbach is and were certainly closer to Patch and Munich than Wuerzburg i feel we should be playing those teams instead of the schedule we have been Wei Bruecken in the South Ansbach int alone Dodds newest is located Down close to Ansbach territory and the Barons find themselves vying with the Dodds North teams in the Silver North division in their first basketball Campaign while As it was in football when it marched to a division will be competing As a member of the Silver South we Bruecken football coach Joe Young told prep pickins that he wished they get the schedules straightened out and put us Back in the Silver North where we it Doest seem too logical to have us go All the Way to places like Bamberg and Augsburg or have them come to we Bruecken when there Are other schools in it appears As if better schedules could have been Joe obviously is especially since Ansbach has a weekend series at Augsburg Bamberg and another division North play both Munich and Augsburg Wei Breucker meets northerners Baum older and osterholz and Berlin has games against Patch and Wuerzburg in addition to meeting we Bruecken in its noncom Ference if they were going to play those teams any it seems As if schedules could have been charted to better meet the travel dont forget prompt reporting the who have been playing a regular basketball schedule instead of waiting until after the holidays to have been doing an excellent Job of getting their results called in to the sports but As the other teams get set to Start their campaigns his just a Quick reminder
