The Craft Are designed to land on reefs Steep shores and in High surf and to surmount rocks or other obstacles up to four feet in height. The Navy has previously described the Craft As an essential modernization for the marines noting the soviet Union is Al ready operating five similar types of air cushioned Landing Craft. Before this week however the service had declined to Dis cuss details about operating tests. The prime contractor for the Craft.
