Such cracks usually develop in the mod Els the Wing flies but these developed about a year earlier than predicted maintenance officials said. Ten maintenance technicians from Robbins fab ga., the depot responsible for f-15 upgrades Are replacing the parts at Pitburg. Wing officials said the jets will not be grounded but will be repaired in conjunction with routine inspections. It takes about two weeks to fix each plane.
