"  had nowhere to go except into the Back of Rosburg s car. Piquet was out of the race bul Rosberg was Lucky damage to his Williams Honda limited to the tire. When the Accident occurred Senna Rosberg Piquet and Mansill All were running practically nose to Tail and it was anyone s race. While Rosberg made up for his error with an inspired performance it was a shame that Piquet had to retire from the Battle. He had qualified second his countryman Senna had pole position and his car was running perfectly. But As the saying goes that s racing and Acci dents Are part of the game. Rosburg s Williams Honda teammate Mansill was in command of the race from the ninth Lap Onward after he passed the pole Sitter Senna the brazilian finishing second in his Lotus Renault some 21 seconds behind Mansell. Rosburg placed third As noted then came Prosl to Clinch his first world driving championship the Frenchman followed by Elio do Angelis of Italy Lotus Renault and Belgium s Thierry Boutsen in an arrows Bow. The formula one constructor s championship is still open the Mclaren team leading with 86 Points followed by Ferrari with 77. Lotus also remains in the running with 71 Points. The Williams team has 47 Points Brabham 22. Renault 16. Arrows 14, Ligier 13, and Tyrrell 4. The disputed South Africa grand prix apparently will be run As Prost has said he s eager to win it and Ferrari is just As eager to win the constructor s championship this title always a major goal of the italian team. After the South african round on oct. 19, the final race follows at Adelaide. Australia on nov. 3. That grand prix will be Australia s first in the world championship series.
