They had entered the game tied with Dallas for first place in the pfc East the rams Are 8-2, but still Lead the pfc West Morris gave the giants their first Lead with 3 03 to play in the third Quarter when he followed a Lead Block by malice Carthon into the end zone to put new York ahead 17 16. L capped a seven play 59-Yard drive that featured Phil Simms passes of 26 Yards to Lionel Manuel and 14 to Mark Bavaro. Morris second touchdown came four min utes into the fourth Quarter and was set up by a 39-Yard pass interference cad against Leroy Irvin. Map Louis Lipps got the go ahead touchdown on a 71 Yard punt return and Gary Anderson kicked a team record five Field goals sunday As the Pittsburgh Steeles pounded out a 36-28 National football league Victory Over the fading Kansas City chiefs. Anderson s five Field goals broke his own record for the Steeles 5-5, who started the Day tied with every other team in the crowded acc Central. It was the sixth loss in a Row for Kansas City 3-7, and assured the chiefs of a 14th straight non playoff year. Walter Abercrombie capped a seven play 79 Yard drive with a 2-Yard touchdown run to put the Steeles on top 27-14 at intermission. John Stallworth totalled 126 Yards receiving including a remarkable 41-Yard catch in the final minutes while falling to the ground to set up Anderson s fifth Field goal a 29-yarder. Deron Cherry gave the chiefs a 7-0 Lead in the opening minutes when he intercepted a David Woodley pass and sped 47 Yards to score. Moments later Woodley connected with Stallworth on a 13-Yard touchdown catch. Anderson kicked a 35-Yard Field Goa in the first period and began the second Quarter with a 31-yarder. Jeff Smith s tackle breaking 45-Yard touch Down on a pass from Jeff Kenny gave Kansas City a 14-13 Lead Early in the second period ahead of Lipps second touchdown punt return of the year. Anderson also had Field goals of 27 and 36 Yards in the second half. His 36-yarder Fol Lowed a 13-Yard touchdown pass from Kenny to Smith that sliced Pittsburgh s Lead to 31-21 with 13 32 remaining. Sea Hawks Roll past saints 27-3 new Orleans a dare Krieg led a 17-Point fourth Quarter explosion and the Seattle defense throttled the new Orleans saints through the final 30 Minuter of play As the sea Hawks rolled to a 27-3 Victory sunday. Krieg threw for 282 Yards and a fourth Quarter touchdown to Lead the Seahawk of sense. The Seattle defense registered eight sacks and Abo scored a fourth Quarter touchdown. Krieg s touchdown throw a 15-yarder to Dairy Turner came with 4 08 left in the game. The defensive touchdown came three min utes earlier when defensive end Jacob Green picked up a tipped pass and ran it 19 Yards for a touchdown. Norm Johnson kicked for the other fourth Quarter Seahawk scores a 32-Yard Field goal and a 26-yarder with 28 seconds left Curt Warner scored a touchdown for Seattle on a 1-Yard run with 46 seconds left in the first half. New Orleans got its score on a 24-Yard Field goal by Morten Andersen Midway through the first Quarter. Seattle is 6-4, new Orleans 3-7. Krieg hit six of seven attempts for 61 Yards on Seattle s first touchdown drive an 11 play 81-Yard March. He Abo ran the Ball twice for 14 Yards on the drive.
