Stuttgart american High school this year s Host narrowly Defeated last year s Winner and across town rival Patch american High school. In the largest bowl of the Competition s four year existence. 21 of the re Gion s 28 High schools participated according to brain bowl sponsor Jayne Bockman. Three schools cancelled be cause of weather Bockman said. Last year Patch won and Stuttgart came in third behind Wuerzburg american High school. This year Stuttgart fought Back Tough Chal Lenges from the Patch. Mannheim and Bonn schools to win the double elimination Competition. Stuttgart team Captain Steven Hohn expected Patch and Bonn to be Tough but Mannheim s performance was a sur prise. I had t heard anything about them he said. In the last two rounds against Patch. Hohn accounted for 18 of the 19 Correct answers Given by the Stuttgart team. But the National Merit finalist who is rated scholastically in the lop half percent of All High school students in.
